Wisdom teeth (third molars) typically erupt between the ages of 17–25. When they are impacted, partially erupted, crowding adjacent teeth, or causing recurrent infection, extraction is often recommended.
Impacted wisdom teeth that cannot erupt normally are reported to increase the risk of cysts, decay of the adjacent second molar, and gum inflammation.
CBCT 3D analysis measures the distance between wisdom tooth roots and the inferior alveolar nerve, enabling precise surgical planning and reducing the risk of nerve injury.
Most wisdom tooth extractions are completed in 30–60 minutes under local anesthesia. Complex impaction cases may take longer.
