Definition

What is sedation (sleep) implant treatment?

Sedation implant treatment uses IV conscious sedation to keep patients in a relaxed, drowsy state, reducing anxiety and discomfort throughout the procedure.

Unlike general anesthesia, breathing remains spontaneous and the patient can respond to verbal cues; most patients have little memory of the procedure.

Sedation is particularly recommended for patients with severe dental anxiety, a strong gag reflex, or multiple implants to be placed in a single session.

A pre-sedation health assessment ensures sedation is safe for each individual patient.
